Zuqaq al-Blat
Zuqaq al-Blat is one of the twelve traditional quarters of Beirut. It is characterized by its residential atmosphere and traditional architecture, offering a contrast to the city's modern commercial districts. Travelers visit this area to walk through its narrow streets and observe the local urban fabric and historical housing styles.
Getting There
The quarter is located within the city limits of Beirut. From the city centre, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or a local bus, typically taking 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
Duration of Visit
A visit to this neighborhood generally requires 1 to 2 hours. This allows enough time to wander through the streets and observe the architecture at a slow pace.
When to Visit
The area is best visited during the morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat. Spring and autumn provide the most temperate weather for walking. As it is primarily a residential neighborhood, it does not experience the same level of tourist crowding as the central waterfront or downtown areas.
