This is the largest park in Belgrade, situated on a ridge overlooking the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. Visitors go here to view the river junction and explore the historic fortifications and military architecture integrated into the landscape.
Getting There
The park is located at the edge of the city center. From the central pedestrian zone (Knez Mihailova Street), it is a short walk of approximately 10 to 15 minutes to the main entrance.
Duration of Visit
Depending on whether you are walking the perimeter or exploring the interior sites, allow 2 to 4 hours to cover the main areas of the park and the ridge.
When to Visit
Late spring and autumn provide moderate temperatures for walking. The park is a popular gathering spot for locals, so it gets crowded on weekends and during summer evenings. Early morning visits are quieter.
