Pobednik

The Pobednik, or "The Victor," is a 14-meter monument located within the Belgrade Fortress. Sculpted by Ivan Meštrović, it was erected to commemorate the victory in the Balkan Wars and World War I. Travelers visit this site as it is one of the city's primary landmarks and offers a vantage point over the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers.

Getting There

The monument is located at the upper ridge of the Belgrade Fortress. From the city center, it is accessible via a short walk or a brief taxi ride. Depending on your starting point in the central district, the journey typically takes 10 to 20 minutes.
