Løvstakken is one of the seven mountains surrounding Bergen, rising 477 meters above sea level. It is a hiking destination used by locals and visitors to get a panoramic view of Bergen and the surrounding coastline.

Getting There

The mountain is located close to the city centre. Depending on the chosen trailhead, you can reach the base via local bus or a short taxi ride from downtown. The ascent typically takes between 1 to 2 hours depending on the path taken and the hiker's pace.

When to Visit

The hiking trails are most accessible during the spring, summer, and autumn. In winter, snow and ice can make the paths slippery, requiring proper equipment. The summit is a popular spot for locals, so it can become crowded on sunny weekends.
