Hezekiah's Tunnel

This ancient water channel was carved through rock in the City of David to secure a water supply during a siege. Visitors walk through the tunnel, which still contains water, to experience the engineering of the period and the historical layout of the ancient city.

The tunnel is located in the eastern Silwan district. From the Jerusalem city centre, you can reach the site via local bus or taxi. The journey typically takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
