Royal Opera House
The Royal Opera House is a historic site in Valletta consisting of the ruins of a 19th-century theater. Designed by a British architect and opened in 1866, the building suffered fire damage and was eventually destroyed during World War II bombings. Visitors go here to view the remaining architectural fragments and the open-air space that now serves as a public area.

The site is located within the city center of Valletta. Since it is centrally positioned, it is accessible on foot from most major points in the city. Depending on your starting point within the capital, walking typically takes between 5 and 15 minutes.
