Crețulescu Palace

The Crețulescu Palace is a historic residence in Bucharest, constructed between 1902 and 1904 for the Crețulescu family. Designed by Romanian architect Petre Antonescu. Visitors go here to view early 20th-century Romanian architecture and the building's exterior design in the heart of the city.

Getting There

The palace is located centrally. From the city center, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or a walk of approximately 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your starting point.

Duration of Visit

Allow roughly 30 to 60 minutes to observe the architecture and the surrounding streetscape.

When to Visit

The site is best visited during daylight hours to see the architectural details of the facade. Like most central areas of Bucharest, the surrounding streets can become crowded during weekday rush hours and weekend afternoons.

Nearby Attractions

Because of its central location, the palace can be combined with several other sites within walking distance:

  • Lake Cișmigiu (0.2km)
  • Cișmigiu Gardens (0.3km)
  • Cathedral of St Joseph (0.4km)
  • Royal Palace of Bucharest (0.6km)
