Mihai Vodă Monastery
Overview
Mihai Vodă Monastery is one of the oldest surviving structures in Bucharest. Built with a fortress-like design and enclosed by sturdy defensive walls, the complex served both religious and protective roles throughout its history. Visitors come to observe its historic wall remains and preserved medieval religious architecture.
Getting There
The site sits just south of the central district. Walking from the historic center takes roughly 5 to 10 minutes. Alternatively, central metro and bus lines stop within a short walking distance of the grounds.

Allow approximately 30 to 45 minutes for a visit. This is sufficient to view the outer walls, explore the quiet courtyard, and see the church interior.
