piața Constituției
Piața Constituției
Piața Constituției is a large public square in central Bucharest. It serves as a pedestrian area where several of the city's main boulevards meet. Visitors typically go here to walk across the open space and view the Palace of the Parliament from the front.
Getting There
The square is located within the city center. Depending on your starting point in the central district, it is accessible via a short taxi ride, public transit, or a walk of approximately 10 to 20 minutes.
Time Allocation
Allow 30 to 60 minutes to walk through the square and observe the surrounding architecture. If you plan to enter the adjacent government buildings, you will need additional time.
When to Visit
The square is open to the public throughout the year. It can become crowded during national holidays or public demonstrations. During summer, the open concrete areas can become very hot, making early morning or late afternoon visits more comfortable.
Nearby Attractions
Because of its central location, the square can be combined with several other sites within walking distance:
- Palace of the Parliament (0.3km)
- Centrul Civic (0.3km)
- Mihai Vodă Monastery (0.5km)
- Romanian Patriarchal Cathedral (0.6km)
