Ruzizi River
The Ruzizi River flows from Lake Kivu to Lake Tanganyika in Central Africa, running about 117 km in length. It passes through steep terrain upstream and calm plains downstream, offering varied scenery along the way.
Heritage & monuments
Livingstone–Stanley Monument
A monument overlooking Lake Tanganyika, 12 km south of Bujumbura. It marks the spot where explorers Livingstone and Stanley stayed, and is said by some to be where the two first met.
