Dongbaek Island

Dongbaek Island is a tied island located on the coast of Haeundae-gu. It is connected to the mainland by a sandy islet, creating a distinct landform. Visitors go here to walk along the shoreline and view the open ocean and the surrounding city skyline.

Getting There

The island is accessible from Busan city centre via subway or bus. From the central areas, take the subway to Haeundae Station. From there, it is a walk of approximately 1 to 1.5 kilometres to reach the island's entrance. The total travel time from the city centre typically takes 45 to 60 minutes.

Duration of Visit

Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk the perimeter paths and reach the lighthouse at the tip of the island.

When to Visit

The site is open to the public throughout the year. Early morning or late afternoon visits provide different lighting for ocean views. The area becomes crowded during weekends and peak summer holiday seasons.
