About Jangsan

Jangsan is a 634-meter mountain located on the edge of the Haeundae district in Busan. It is designated as a geosite of the Busan National Geopark. Travelers visit this site for hiking and to observe specific geological formations while remaining in close proximity to the urban center.

Getting There

The mountain is accessible from the city center via public transportation or taxi. Depending on the starting point in central Busan, the journey typically takes 30 to 60 minutes.

Time Requirement

The amount of time needed depends on the chosen trail. A full hike to the summit and back generally requires 3 to 5 hours. Shorter walks to lower viewpoints take less time.

When to Visit

Spring and autumn are the primary seasons for hiking due to moderate temperatures. Early morning visits are recommended to avoid midday heat and larger crowds. The trails can become crowded on weekends and public holidays.

Nearby Attractions

Because of its location, the mountain can be combined with other sites in the Haeundae area:

  • Busan Cinema Center (3km)
  • Busan Museum of Art (3.1km)
  • Busan Aquarium (4.1km)
  • Haeundae Beach (4.2km)
