Manuka Shopping Precinct
Manuka is a commercial district located in the Inner South of Canberra, spanning the suburbs of Griffith and Forrest. Visitors go here for a concentrated area of boutiques, cafes, and specialty shops. The precinct is designed for pedestrian exploration and is situated near a local oval and a public pool.
Getting There
The area is located a short distance from the Canberra city centre. It is accessible via local bus services or a short taxi or rideshare trip, typically taking about 5 to 10 minutes depending on traffic.
Suggested Duration
Depending on whether you intend to dine or shop, allow 2 to 3 hours to walk through the precinct and visit the various storefronts.
When to Visit
The area is most active during morning and lunch hours when the cafes are in full operation. It can become crowded during weekend brunch periods. Like most of Canberra, the weather varies significantly by season, with mild springs and autumns being the most comfortable times for walking.

Because the precinct is pedestrian-friendly, it can be combined with other nearby sites in the Inner South:
- St. Christopher’s Cathedral: 0.1km
