Local Transport Options

Cochabamba does not have a centralized metro system. Movement relies on a mix of public and private road transport.

• Trufis: These shared minibuses are the primary mode of transport. They follow fixed routes marked on signs in the windshield. They are the fastest way to cross the city but can be crowded.
• Taxis: Plentiful and available on street corners. They are ideal for nighttime travel or when carrying luggage, as they provide door-to-door service.
• Ride-Hailing Apps: Available and often preferred by those who want a digital record of their trip and a pre-determined fare.

Airport Transfers

Jorge Wilstermann International Airport (CBB) is located within the city limits, making the commute to the center relatively short.

• Radio Taxis: Available at the arrivals terminal. Low effort, medium cost, and the fastest way to reach your destination.
• Public Trufis: Low cost but high effort. These are only recommended for travelers with minimal luggage who are familiar with the city's route system.
