Q'inqu

Q'inqu is an Inca archaeological site located east of Sacsayhuamán in Cusco. It is designated as a cultural heritage site of Peru and consists of stone structures and ruins that provide insight into Inca construction and urban planning. Travelers visit this site for historical exploration and to see ancient masonry away from the primary tourist hubs.

Getting There

The site is located on the outskirts of Cusco. From the city centre, you can reach it via taxi or by hiking up from the Sacsayhuamán area. The journey typically takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on the mode of transport and traffic conditions.

Duration of Visit

Most visitors spend between 1 and 2 hours exploring the ruins and the surrounding landscape.

When to Visit

The dry season, from May to October, is the most reliable time for visiting to avoid rain. Morning visits are recommended to avoid the midday sun. This site generally receives fewer crowds than the main plaza or Sacsayhuamán.
