Dar Batha Museum
This museum is housed in a former 19th-century royal palace and focuses on traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Visitors go here to see collections of pottery, carpets, and traditional costumes, all arranged around a Moorish-style garden.
Getting There
The museum is located within the city of Fez. From the city centre, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or a walk through the medina. Depending on your starting point in the centre, the journey typically takes 10 to 20 minutes.
Time Allocation
Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk through the galleries and the garden grounds.
When to Visit
Visiting during the morning hours helps avoid the midday heat, particularly during the summer months. Like many central attractions in Fez, it can get crowded during peak tourist seasons.
Nearby Attractions
Because of its central location, the museum can be combined with several other sites within walking distance:
- Abu Al-Hassan Al-Marini Mosque (0.2km)
- Bou Jeloud Mosque (0.2km)
- Place Bou Jeloud (0.3km)
- El Glaoui Palace (0.4km)
