Gdańsk Main Town Hall
Gdańsk Main Town Hall
The Main Town Hall is a Gothic-Renaissance building located in the center of Gdańsk. Visitors go here to see the architecture of the historic civic administration and to visit the Gdańsk Museum, which is housed inside. The building also features a tower that provides views over the Royal Route and the surrounding city.
Getting There
The building is located directly within the Main City area. If you are already in the city center, it is accessible via a short walk through the pedestrian zones. Travel time from the central hub of the Main City is negligible as it is situated in the heart of the district.
Time Requirement
Allow approximately 1.5 to 3 hours for a visit. This provides enough time to explore the museum exhibits and climb the tower for the city views.
When to Visit
The site can get crowded during the peak summer tourist season and on weekends. To avoid the largest crowds, visit during weekday mornings. The building is accessible year-round, though the tower views are most clear during the spring and autumn months.
