Overview

The Globe of Science and Innovation is a wooden geodesic dome in Meyrin. Built for the 2002 Neuchâtel Expo and later relocated to CERN, this pavilion hosts exhibitions explaining the organization's particle physics research and discoveries.

Getting There

From central Geneva, take tram 18 from Cornavin station directly to the CERN terminus. The trip takes about 20 to 25 minutes. The site lies just west of Geneva Airport (GVA).

Time to Allow

Allow 1 to 1.5 hours to tour the exhibits and presentations inside the dome.

When to Visit

Weekday mornings are generally the least crowded. Afternoons often see groups and school tours. The indoor exhibits can be visited comfortably in any season.
