About Microcosm

Microcosm was an interactive exhibition located at CERN in Geneva, designed to introduce visitors to particle physics and the operations of the Large Hadron Collider. It served as a primary educational hub for those wanting to understand the fundamental components of the universe through hands-on displays. Please note that this specific exhibition closed in 2022 and has been succeeded by the CERN Science Gateway.

Getting There

The site is located on the outskirts of Geneva, away from the city center. Visitors typically reach the area via public transport, using a combination of tram and bus services. The journey from the center of Geneva generally takes between 30 and 45 minutes depending on the transit connection.
