The Prinsenhof is a former palace in Ghent that served as the residence of the Counts of Flanders starting in the 15th century. It is historically significant as the birthplace of Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. Visitors go here to explore the architectural remains of the palace and learn about the political history of the region through its exhibitions.

The site is located within the historic center of Ghent. From the central pedestrian areas, it is accessible via a short walk of approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
