About the Museum
The museum displays the belongings, manuscripts, and published works of Armenian poet Hovhannes Shiraz. Situated in Gyumri's historic Kumayri district, the 19th-century building gives visitors an intimate look into the poet's life and literary career.
Getting There
Located in central Gyumri, the site is a 5 to 10-minute walk from Vardanants Square. From the train station or outer neighborhoods, a local taxi takes around 5 to 10 minutes.
Visit Duration
Plan for 45 minutes to an hour to tour the exhibition rooms and view the personal collections.
When to Visit
Weekday mornings and early afternoons are best for a quiet visit. The rooms are compact, so they can feel crowded when tour groups arrive. May through October offers mild weather for exploring the area on foot.
