Bat Galim
About the Neighborhood
Bat Galim is a coastal neighborhood situated at the base of Mount Carmel in Haifa. Visitors go primarily to walk along the paved seaside promenade, access the sandy beach, and take in views across the Mediterranean Sea.
Getting There
From central Haifa, the area is accessible by municipal bus, suburban train, or a short taxi ride. The trip from the city centre typically takes between 10 and 15 minutes.
Time to Allow
Plan to spend between 1 and 2 hours to walk the length of the seaside path and spend time along the water.
When to Go
Late afternoon is a practical time to visit for cooler walking conditions and sunset views over the water. Summer brings warm beach weather, but the promenade and shore can become crowded, particularly on weekends.
