Copou Park
Copou Park
Established in 1834, this is the oldest public park in Iași and one of the first of its kind in Romania. Visitors go here to walk through a historic garden setting and to see the Lions' Obelisk, a 13.5-meter monument located at the center of the grounds.
Getting There
The park is located within the city limits of Iași. From the city center, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or local public transport, typically taking about 5 to 10 minutes depending on traffic.
Duration of Visit
Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk the main paths and view the central monument.
When to Visit
The park is suitable for visits throughout the year, though the gardens are most active during spring and summer. It can become crowded during weekends and local public holidays. Morning or late afternoon visits generally offer a quieter experience.
