Irbid
Irbid is the capital of Jordan's Irbid Governorate, about 70 km north of Amman. It is home to numerous universities and other educational institutions, and serves as a key hub for overland transport in Jordan.

Capitolias
These are the remains of an ancient city that once stood east of the Jordan River, located today near the village of Beit Ras close to Irbid. The site offers a glimpse into the traces of ancient civilization.
