Arad Fort
Arad Fort
Arad Fort is a 15th-century fortification located in Isa Town. Originally constructed on a separate land, it was an island until land reclamation connected it to Muharraq Island. Visitors go here to see the historical military architecture and the layout of the fort, which is now accessible by road.
Getting There
The fort is located outside the main city center of Manama. The most efficient way to reach the site is by taxi or rental car. Depending on traffic conditions, the drive from the center typically takes 15 to 25 minutes.
Visit Duration
Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk through the grounds and explore the interior rooms and ramparts.
When to Visit
To avoid the midday heat, visit during the early morning or late afternoon. The cooler winter months are the most comfortable season for outdoor exploration. The site can become crowded during local public holidays.
