Diamond Tower
Overview
Diamond Tower is a residential skyscraper project situated along the northern Jeddah waterfront. Although planned to be one of the tallest residential buildings in the world, repeated construction stoppages have left the structure standing at around 15 floors. Visitors interested in urban development and contemporary architecture typically view the unfinished site from the exterior while exploring the Corniche, as the building remains closed to the public.
Getting There
The site is located on the coastal road in northern Jeddah. Traveling by car or taxi from the city centre generally takes between 25 and 35 minutes, depending on traffic flow along the main avenues.
Suggested Duration
Because the structure is an incomplete site viewed entirely from the street or promenade, allow roughly 10 to 15 minutes for a brief stop and exterior viewing.
When to Go
Visiting during the late afternoon or evening avoids the high daytime heat and offers better lighting along the coast. The cooler months between November and March are the most comfortable for walking outside. Traffic along the waterfront increases notably on weekend evenings.
Nearby Attractions
A visit can be paired with nearby landmarks along the coast and inland:
- Al-Rahmah Mosque (0.3km)
- Al-Shallal Theme Park (8.9km)
- Hassan Enany Mosque (14km)
- King Saud Mosque (16.1km)
