Located on a hilltop near Kathmandu, this Hindu temple is dedicated to the god Vishnu dates back to the 4th century. It is one of the oldest temples in Nepal and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. Visitors go here to see the ancient stone carvings and the traditional Newari architecture of the complex.
Getting There
The site is located outside the main city center of Kathmandu. Most travelers reach the temple via taxi or private vehicle from the city core. The journey typically takes 45 to 60 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
