Ghanta Ghar
Overview
Ghanta Ghar is Nepal's oldest clock tower, situated in central Kathmandu opposite the Rani Pokhari reservoir. Built in a style influenced by London's Big Ben and reconstructed following earthquake damage, the landmark offers travelers a view of the capital's architectural history alongside its traditional heritage.

Located in the city center, the tower is easily reached on foot or by vehicle. From central hubs like Thamel, walking takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes southward along Kantipath. A short taxi or rickshaw ride takes around 5 to 10 minutes, depending on road conditions.
