Khujand is the capital of Sughd Province in northern Tajikistan, situated on the Syr Darya River at the entrance to the Fergana Valley. Enjoy its water-rich scenery along with a visit to nearby Lake Kairakkum.

Historical Museum of Sughd
Located inside Khujand Fortress, a reconstruction of the old city walls in Khujand, Tajikistan's second-largest city. After your visit, you can stroll along the Syr Darya River on the city's north side or take a relaxing gondola ride.

Arbob Cultural Palace
Built in the 1950s as the headquarters of a Soviet collective farm, this building was designed after the Winter Garden at Peterhof in St. Petersburg. It offers a close-up look at ornate Soviet-era architecture.
