Khujand Fortress
Khujand Fortress
Located on the banks of the Syr Darya River, this site contains the remains of a fortification with the oldest sections dating back to the 4th–5th centuries. Visitors go here to walk along the ancient walls and view the layout of the old city's defenses.

The fortress is situated within the urban area of Khujand. From the city centre, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or a walk, typically taking less than 10 to 15 minutes depending on your exact starting point.

Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to explore the perimeter of the walls and the surrounding grounds.
When to Visit
