Smeltalė River

Smeltalė is a river located south of Klaipėda that flows into the Curonian Lagoon. It is the only site in Lithuania where salmonid fish spawn. Visitors go here to walk along the riverbanks and observe the natural landscape and quiet waters.

Getting There

The river is located on the southern outskirts of Klaipėda. From the city centre, it is accessible via local transport or a short drive, typically taking about 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic.
