Adi Ganga
Adi Ganga
Adi Ganga is the remnant of an ancient branch of the Hooghly River. Between the 15th and 17th centuries, it served as the primary channel flowing through the region. Today, it no longer functions as a major river and exists as a historical trace of the city's original geography. Travelers visit this site to observe the geological shift of the river and the historical layout of early Kolkata.
