What It Is

The Czartoryski Museum is Poland's oldest museum, located in Kraków's Old Town. It houses a collection of European painting, decorative arts, and Polish historical items, most notably Leonardo da Vinci's Lady with an Ermine.

Getting There

The building stands on św. Jana Street. From the Main Market Square, walk north for about 3 to 5 minutes. From Kraków Główny railway station, it is a 10-minute walk through Planty Park.

Time to Allow

Allow 1.5 to 2 hours to walk through the galleries at a regular pace. Visitors examining the collection in detail may need up to 2.5 hours.

When to Visit

The galleries become crowded, particularly around major artworks on weekends and during summer. Arrive early in the morning or visit on weekday afternoons to avoid peak foot traffic.
