Sukiennice

Located in the center of the Main Square in Kraków's Old Town, Sukiennice is a historicCloth Hall that serves as both a marketplace and a museum. Visitors go here to browse traditional Polish crafts, jewelry, and amber, and textiles on the ground floor, or to visit the gallery spaces located on the upper level. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978.

Getting There

The attraction is situated directly within the city centre. Since it occupies the middle of the Main Square, it is accessible by foot from any hotel or landmark within the Old Town. No public transport is needed once you have reached the central district.

Time Requirement

Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk through the market stalls and explore the museum exhibits. The duration depends on whether you intend to shop or focus on the art collections.

When to Visit

The area gets crowded during midday and throughout the summer season. To avoid the largest crowds, visit in the early morning. The square is open year-round, though weather conditions in winter may affect the outdoor experience around the building.
