Overview

Liverpool Playhouse is a historic performing arts venue in Williamson Square. Originally opened as a music hall in 1866, it later established itself as a leading stage for drama. Visitors go primarily to attend live theatrical plays in an intimate auditorium known for launching the careers of many actors.

Located in the city centre, the venue is accessible on foot. From Liverpool Lime Street railway station or Queen Square, it takes roughly 5 to 10 minutes to walk across to Williamson Square.
