Butchers' Bridge
Overview
Butchers' Bridge is a pedestrian crossing spanning the Ljubljanica River in central Ljubljana. Opened in 2010, the structure links the Central Market with the Petkovšek Embankment. Visitors stop here to examine the bronze sculptures depicting figures from Greek mythology and biblical stories positioned along the walking deck and railings.
Getting There
The bridge is located inside the central pedestrian zone. Walking from the main central square takes roughly 2 to 3 minutes.

Allow approximately 10 to 15 minutes. This is sufficient time to walk across the river, inspect the sculptures up close, and take in the surrounding embankment views.
