Taming Sari Tower

Taming Sari Tower

This is a 110-meter revolving observation tower located in Malacca. Visitors ride a rotating deck to the top, providing a 360-degree view of the city's urban layout and the surrounding coastline.

Getting There

The tower is situated within the central historic district of Malacca. From the city center, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or a walk of approximately 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your starting point.

Time Allocation

Allow roughly 45 to 60 minutes for a visit. This includes the time spent ascending and descending in the rotating cabin and the duration of the rotation at the top.

When to Visit

Visiting during the late afternoon allows for views of the city in daylight and the transition to evening lights. The area can get crowded during weekends and Malaysian public holidays. Due to the tropical climate, midday heat can be intense, making early morning or late afternoon more comfortable for the approach.

Nearby Attractions

Because of its location, the tower can be combined with several nearby museums, all within a 200-meter walking distance:

  • Maritime Museum: 0.2km
  • People's Museum: 0.2km
  • Kite Museum: 0.2km
