Melaka is a port city on the southern west coast of the Malay Peninsula, facing the Strait of Malacca at the mouth of the Malacca River. From St. Paul's Hill by the river onward, the city carries the history of Southeast Asia's maritime trade.

Al Azim Mosque
Al-Azim Mosque is Malacca's state mosque, standing next to a general hospital, the Al-Quran Museum, and the state heroes' mausoleum. It opened in 1990 to replace the former Tranquerah Mosque and remains an active place of worship and pilgrimage for local residents.
