From central Malacca, getting there takes 10 to 15 minutes by taxi or car. While connected to the mainland by a bridge, walking is long and exposed to heat, so vehicular transport is the most practical choice.

Late afternoon leading into sunset is the most common time to visit for sea views and evening lighting. Expect larger crowds and traffic at dusk. Friday midday is reserved for congregational prayers, bringing heavy local attendance and restricted access for casual visitors.
