Islamic Centre (Maldives)
What It Is
Opened in 1984, this Sunni mosque serves as the foremost Islamic landmark in Malé. Travelers visit to view its architecture, defined by a prominent golden dome and tall minaret, and to observe the Maldives' primary religious center.
Getting There
Located in central Malé, the site is easily accessible on foot. Walking from most parts of the city center takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Local taxis are also widely available for short trips across the island.
