Haller Park
Haller Park
Located in Bamburi, this nature park is a reclaimed ecological site created from a former limestone quarry. Visitors go here to walk through a restored forest environment and observe various plant species and animals, including giraffes and tortoises.
Getting There
The park is situated north of Mombasa city centre. Most travellers use taxis or ride-sharing services for the trip, which typically takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
Duration of Visit
Allow approximately 2 to 4 hours to walk the trails and observe the wildlife. The time spent depends on whether you choose to participate in guided activities or walk the paths at your own pace.
When to Visit
Morning visits are recommended to avoid the midday heat and to see animals when they are more active. The park can get crowded during weekends and public holidays. The weather in Mombasa remains warm year-round, though the rainy seasons can affect trail conditions.
