Le Portier
Le Portier
Le Portier is a land-reclamation district located along the coast in the Larvotto area of Monaco. Opened in 2024, this development expands the city's usable land and features new residential and commercial spaces. Travelers visit this area to see the latest urban expansion and modern architectural planning in a territory where space is strictly limited.
Getting There
The district is located a short distance from the center of Monte Carlo. It is accessible via a 10 to 15 minute walk from the main city center or a quick trip by local bus. Most visitors arrive on foot while exploring the Larvotto beachfront.
Time Requirement
Because it is a residential and commercial development rather than a traditional museum or monument, a short visit of 30 to 60 minutes is usually sufficient to walk through the area and observe the new infrastructure.
When to Visit
The area is best visited during daylight hours to see the layout of the reclamation project. Like most coastal areas in Monaco, it can become crowded during the peak summer tourist season. Visiting during the shoulder seasons provides a quieter experience.

The location is well-positioned for combining with other nearby sites:
- Japanese Garden: 0.1km
- Saint-Charles Church: 0.4km
- Opéra de Monte-Carlo: 0.5km
- Larvotto: 0.5km
