Located in limestone cliffs overlooking the Samson River near Namur, this cave system is a significant prehistoric site. Visitors go here are primarily interested in archaeology and paleontology, as the caves have yielded numerous fossils and artifacts belonging to Neanderthals and early modern humans.

Getting There

The caves are situated outside the Namur city centre. Access is typically via car or local transport heading toward the Samson river valley. The drive from the centre of Namur generally takes around 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic.
