Taipei Taiwan Temple

The Taipei Taiwan Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitors typically go to view the architecture and the landscaped grounds. Construction began in 1982 on a site that previously housed a chapel and a prison.

Getting There

The temple is located in the city area. From the city centre, it is accessible via the Taipei Metro (MRT) or taxi. Depending on your starting point and traffic, the journey generally takes 15 to 30 minutes.

Duration of Visit

Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk around the exterior and view the gardens. Note that interior access is restricted to members of the faith.

When to Visit

The grounds are open during daylight hours. To avoid the highest humidity and heat, visit during the winter months or early in the morning. The area remains relatively quiet compared to major tourist hubs, though it can be busier on weekends.
