Liberty Square is a large public plaza in Taipei, spanning over 240,000 square meters. It serves as a central gathering point and a site of historical significance, commemorating Taiwan's transition to democracy in the 1990s. Visitors go here to view the surrounding monuments, walk through the open gardens, and observe local public life.
Getting There
The square is located in the Zhongzheng District. From the city centre, it is accessible via the Taipei Metro (MRT). Depending on your starting point, the journey typically takes 15 to 30 minutes using the subway system.
