Presidential Palace

Located in the Strovolos district of Nicosia, this building serves as the official residence and workplace of the President of Cyprus. Visitors go here to view the architecture of the state's primary political hub and the surrounding pine forest that buffers the estate from the urban environment.

Getting There

The palace is situated outside the historic walled city center. From the center of Nicosia, you can reach the site via taxi or local bus. The trip typically takes about 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Time Allocation

Since the site is a functioning government office, visitors generally view the exterior and the surrounding grounds. Allow approximately 45 to 60 minutes for a walk around the perimeter and the wooded areas.

When to Visit

The surrounding pine forest provides shade, making it more pleasant during the spring and autumn months. Avoid visiting during peak midday heat in the summer. As it is a secure government facility, it does not experience typical tourist crowds, though access may be restricted during official state events.
