Centrum
Centrum is the historic district of Paramaribo, Suriname. It is characterized by colonial-era architecture and streets that retain their original layout. The area contains 291 listed structures and was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002. Travelers visit this district to observe the preserved wooden buildings and the urban history of the city.

This district is located within the city center of Paramaribo. Since it constitutes the central core, most visitors arrive on foot or via short taxi rides from nearby hotels. Travel time within the city center is negligible.
