Mediana

Mediana is a Roman archaeological site located on the eastern outskirts of Niš. It was originally an opulent villa complex built during the era of Constantine the Great. Visitors go here to see the remaining structural traces of the ancient estate, including the ruins of Roman baths and storerooms.

Getting There

The site is situated a few kilometers from the city center. You can reach it via local bus or taxi. The journey typically takes about 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic.

Visit Duration

Allow approximately 1.5 to 3 hours to walk through the ruins and view the onsite exhibits.

When to Visit

The site is an open-air archaeological park, making it most accessible during the spring and autumn to avoid extreme temperatures. Morning visits are generally cooler. It does not typically experience the heavy crowds found at major European capitals.
