Pont Neuf

Pont Neuf is the oldest standing bridge across the Seine river in Paris. Travelers visit this landmark to walk across the river and view the surrounding city architecture and the water. Despite its name, which translates to "New Bridge," it was completed in the early 17th century.

Getting There

The bridge is located in the center of Paris. From the city center, it is accessible via the Metro or by walking. Depending on your starting point, transit typically takes 10 to 20 minutes.

Duration of Visit

Allow 30 to 60 minutes to walk across the bridge and observe the views of the river and the nearby islands.

When to Visit

The bridge is open to pedestrians at all times. It often becomes crowded during the summer months and during peak tourist hours in the afternoon. Visiting in the early morning provides a quieter experience.
