Located on the Île de la Cité, this royal chapel was built in the Late Gothic style as part of a palace complex. Visitors go here to see the 13th-century stained glass windows and the architectural layout of the upper and lower chapels.

The chapel is situated in the center of Paris. From the city center, it is accessible via the Metro (lines 4 or RER B to Cité station) or by walking. Depending on your starting point, travel time typically ranges from 10 to 20 minutes.

Duration of Visit

Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to explore the site. This provides enough time to view the lower chapel and the detailed glasswork in the upper chapel.

When to Visit

The site gets crowded, particularly during peak tourist seasons. To avoid the longest queues, arrive early in the morning. Visiting on a sunny day allows for maximum light to pass through the stained glass.
